Well, just to let you all know that I'm not dead, I figured I had better post here. Eh heh heh heh...these things happen.

To make a long story short, I am insanely busy with school and work and church. This means that I'm not online nearly as much as I would like to be and update type things are more or less reserved for the weekends. Still, life is going fairly well, and if I survive this semester then I'll be good to go for plenty of stuff.

Yesterday was a gaming day, and that was lots of fun. Started back up on Immortal Silver and lots of crap hit the fan, so to speak. I still need to figure out Sevien and Kenner's motivations. Well, I need to tweak their character profiles, at any rate. Don't want to be playing them out of character. I'm also starting work on converting Midoran into a roleplaying world (setting down the rules, figuring out the basics of the world, stuff like that).

Current obsessions include ElfQuest, 1602, INVU, and Full Moon o Sagashite. All of these are very fun, and they make me happy. Of course, with my schedule being insane, I don't know how much time I'll be able to devote to any of my obsessions, but it's worth looking into, at any rate.

*looks around* You know, I really need to finish up on that blog layout I've been working on, except I don't like it as much now as I did when I started making it. Plus I have more obsessions at the moment. Thingy. I definitely do need a change, however. The question is, to what? I shall have to ponder this in greater detail.

Glad that my imouto-chan found the cosplay pictures in Newtype USA (were you looking for mine?). Also glad that she's enjoying manga goodness. Very important thing, that.

Hopefully I'll get things in order so I can start cranking out some of the things I've promised various people. You should know who you are...^_^;;

Well, I've been horribly, horribly lax in updating here. These things happen, especially when you're busy.

Let's see...I've been cleaning up the apartment and going through my stuff like mad. I'm tired of having all sorts of piles, and if I can get rid of my piles, then I can feel a little bit better about asking my roommates to take care of theirs.

I've also been working on my class, seeing as it has to be done in, oh three days. I just need for them to recognize that, yes I did send in my latest essay, then I can get the test and take it before the deadline. I really hate pushing it like this, and I should have done better, but as it stands I'm already doing better than I expected, all things considered.

Lately I've been watching Juuni Kokki (The Twelve Kingdoms), Full Moon o Sagashite, Puchi Puri Yuushi, and Nanaka 6/17. All very fun series that should be watched, especially by people who love shoujo anime. There are also multiple series that I need to catch up on, but I'm working on things slowly so I don't burn out or ruin the schedule I've set for myself.

Okay, this is just going to be a quick (hopefully) note, as I have very little time to be spending on things like writing my blog. Yes, I'm in the last stages of insanity, namely trying to get everything ready for Anime Expo when we leave in roughly...seven hours, give or take some time.

Despite the frenzied and stressed feelings I'm having, things are actually pulling together quite nicely (I think) and we should be fine. I just have the tendency to worry incessantly about things, and with money being tight like it is I don't know how everything is going to work out just yet. But it will, of that I am fairly sure.

Well, time to get back to cleaning and packing and all those wonderful little tasks that will consume the next large portion of my time and then some. I'll be back in about a week or so, hopefully with a full convention report and pictures. Until that time, have fun and don't die on me, okay? I'll try to do the same.

Yay! I finally finally got the site up! This makes me happy. Go visit it, now. That's all. Yes, this is a short update, and I don't care.

Well, I've been rather bad at updating lately. These things happen, especially when you have two games you're remotely good at that you want to play plus a whole bunch of other things going on. For those of you who are interested, the games are Record of Lodoss War RPG for Dreamcast and Warlords Battlecry II for the computer.

The Lodoss RPG is incredibly cheesy. I mean, what can you expect from a roleplaying game that's based off an anime that was based off a Dungeons & Dragons campaign (or series of campaigns) that the creator played in college? In short, not much except for insane amounts of cheese. *nods sagely* Anyway, it's fun, if only to mock. And since it plays a lot like Diablo/Diablo II I am, for some bizarre reason, good at it. So I'm the one who gets to play through it first! This is a rare occurance for me, given who I live with and what gamers they are.

Warlords Battlecry II is also fun, but for a different reason. It is the other type of game that I'm fairly good at, that being the civilization creation/Warcraft-esque game type. I'd been wanting to play it all during the fall/winter, but I didn't have a copy and couldn't find a copy. Then I went into Electronics Boutique about a week ago and was browsing through their used games. I saw several copies of Warlords Battlecry, but none of WB2. Then I looked at the games in the smaller boxes....it was a very happy thing. ^_^ Yes, I'm horribly violent sometimes.

So those two games have been keeping me somewhat busy. I still have to install Vampire the Masquerade: Redemption, but I think that will most likely wait for a bit, given my schedule for the next little while. My biggest concerns at the moment are, in order, my class (only have until August to finish it), learning the songs for AX (only have three weeks!), making costumes and pieces for AX (same time frame), and cleaning the apartment (cleaning checks next week).

Work has been fairly normal and predictable, which means that I've had a lot of time to think about random things. Not much has come out of this, but sometimes that's just the way things go. I really need to see if I can't find a second job, or temporary work, or something. I need to earn more money.

Let's see...I ordered the first Juuni Kokki DVD, which makes me happy. It comes out near the end of July, so I've got plenty of time. I just have to remember that I have $27 less in my account than it says I have. Shouldn't be too hard to deal with. Yeah, Juuni Kokki is a really fun series, and I'm glad that Media Blasters licensed it. They've done a pretty good job with quick releases that are pretty accurate, although I don't know what the dubbing is going to be like. Hopefully it won't be as bad as, say, the Saiyuki dub. *kicks ADV*

My other big project has been getting rid of a lot of my junk. You know, the stuff I've been carting around for two years or more just because I didn't want to bother going through it to see what was there. So far I've thrown out roughly 20 shopping bags of trash and gone through five or six boxes. I sent a lot of stuff to DI, and I've been feeling much better about things. I never realized just how much all my stuff was poking at the back of my mind. I still have a long way to go with that (stuff under my bed, on the floor of my closet, etc), but it's a lot better than it was.

In other news (and I can't remember if I talked about this already or not), Kogarashi and I have a domain name now! I'm hoping to get the site uploaded tomorrow, but we'll see how things go. Stuff has been kinda insane, and I haven't been getting up as early as I would like. Need to learn to stop staying up so late! Thingy and stuff. I think I've babbled enough for now, so I will go.

Really, I'm not dead! I've just been a bit busy. See, I'm trying to get our apartment so it actually feels like a home-type place to me, and it's taking more work than I expected. Add to that the fact that I have work and school type things...you see where this is going.

Not much has really been happening beyond that. I went swimming today for the first time in about two years, and I'm not sure how I feel about it. I mean, I like swimming and it's fun, but chlorine does a number to my physical condition. It's wacky. All in all though, I had a good time, and I'll probably go swimming again at some point this summer.

Found yet another excellent webcomic to get myself addicted to. Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire. Go check it out because it's fun! I've also been watching a lot of anime. Wolf's Rain, Puchi Puri Yuushi, Rose of Versailles, and Junikoku-ki (Juuni Kokki) being a few of them. I'd been watching PPY, and I'm waiting semi-desperately for the next episode to come out because it features my favorite character in the series. Wolf's Rain has been on my computer for months and I only just got around to watching it. Excellent series with fun characters. Rose of Versailles is very old-school as far as style and story goes (it was released in 1980, what do you expect) and it's more of a nostalgic thing I guess. Kogarashi thinks it's sappy, and I guess I can't blame her. Junikoku-ki is a really fun series as well, and I'm hoping that Media Blasters gets around to releasing it quickly (they licensed it in January). I am definitely going to be getting it when it comes out.

And now it is time for me to get ready for work, so any other news I might have will have to wait for another time. Hopefully I'll update more frequently this time.

Well, things are starting to calm down a bit, I think. I'm getting back into the swing of things, and the apartment is slowly starting to get cleaned up. I've decided I need to put in a plug for the FlyLady because her way of doing things has really been helping me in more ways than one. I've been setting up good routines and I've been getting rid of a bunch of stuff I don't need. Goodbye clutter!

Anyway, life is getting better. Still have a bunch of stuff on my plate, but it's a bit more manageable now. Let's see...tomorrow (technically today) is Kogarashi's birthday, so you should all go wish her a happy one!

What else has been happening...oh, I finally got a domain name! Kogarashi and I are sharing it, and we should have stuff up in the very near future. Just need to get a couple layout things worked out, then we're so totally there. Goodbye Angelfire and Geocities, goodbye annoying popup ads, goodbye space/bandwidth limitations!

As it is late and I have cleaning checks tomorrow *gags* I must needs go to bed. But you've had your daily dose of Anki's life, so things are good. Or not, depending on your point of view. (~_^)

Okay, as you can probably see, I have a new blog layout! *poings about happily* It's a bit of a change from my previous layouts, you know, being focused on video game characters and all.

Yes, I'm in love with a 3'8" red echidna and a 3'4" black hedgehog. They're both really cool characters and they both have angst! This makes me happy. So yeah, this is the kind of layout that happens when you suddenly get obsessed with Sonic Adventure 2: Battle and Sonic X (anime).

Things have been going well, but I'm still a bit stressed. Thingy. Have stuff I need to do today, so I'm going to go be social and things.

*poings some more* Yay! New layout!
